We understand this language was created over 60 years ago, it continues to use be used in the development and maintenance of high computing applications. This position is likely long term in nature and is eligible for remote work. To be considered for this role, candidates must have recent experience in Fortran development as well as the following: 5 or more years developing applications in Fortran 5 years development of Fortran programs using the Intel Fortran Composer XE Compiler 5 years development of Fortran programs using Visual Studio IDE 5 years using the Agile methodology Responsibilities: Analyzes proposed computer applications in terms of equipment requirements and capabilities. Writes new programs and analyzes, reviews, and rewrites existing programs to solve problems, increase operating efficiency, or adapt to new requirements. Prepares test data. Corrects program errors. Documents the methods and procedures used in developing, testing and correcting programs. Assists in designing programs and systems architecture; preparing program specifications; coding, testing, and debugging computer programs. Experience in FORTRAN is required. Minimum (Required): Years Skills/Experience 5 Programming with Intel Fortran Composer XE 2013 SP1 (compiler 14.0) 5 Experience with using Visual Studio IDE for Fortran Development. 5 Experience with general IT SDLC processes 5 Skilled in collaborating with business stakeholders to identify and solve key business challenges 5 Possess strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of management. 5 Agile development tools & practices 5 Unit testing and version management tools. 5 Knowledge of and/or experience with software development, testing, and quality assurance methodologies.
