Position: Data Analyst with AAMVA Location: Quincy, MA Duration: 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Video Job Description: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Prior experience as a data/systems/business analyst and/or project manager for information technology applications, including AAMVA systems Experience with the IT interface between ATLAS and AAMVA Ability to create documentation for both technical and business users Basic knowledge of SQL queries Knowledge of File Transfer Process and Web service functions on the technical side Knowledge and Ability Required at Hire: Prior experience as a data/systems/business analyst and/or project manager for information technology applications, including AAMVA systems Experience with the IT interface between ATLAS and AAMVA Ability to create documentation for both technical and business users Basic knowledge of SQL queries Knowledge of File Transfer Process and Web service functions on the technical side Ability to communicate effectively with business users, developers, and department supervisors Ability to work in team environments, in both leadership and support roles Six+ years of progressive experience in business operations, software development, testing, product management, consulting, data analysis, or related discipline in the technology sector This data analyst must be familiar with Title 49 Section 384.107. AAMVA produces a CD31 report annually that documents SDLA data quality including timeliness and accuracy measures. This data analyst will: Identify the root causes of process issues using AAMVA CD31 report Request report at least quarterly Identify/analyze issues from the CDLIS Timeliness & Accuracy Summary Workbook Analyze the SPEXS-CDLIS system in the ATLAS database to identify and recommend the proper changes to improve the timeliness of CDLIS convictions and withdrawals. Massachusetts modernized the RMV database in 2018 and since then, has been having difficulty identifying issues and errors relating to CDLIS reporting of converted data from the old database. The data/system analyst will be tasked with analyzing timeliness reports, CDLIS errors, converted vs. modern data, recommending changes/fixes, and present documentation of findings to OOS Unit supervisor Document and review recommended best practices to aide in continuous improvement of CDLIS reports Proactively track and measure incidents following production releases, identify potential problems and solutions, diagnose root cause, report trends and patterns, and conduct ad hoc analysis as needed and requested by OOS Unit supervisor Leverage data, metrics, and best practices to develop and support recommendations to improve system changes Perform data and system analysis, assess defects and incidents, and recommend opportunities for improvement Collaborate across teams developers, testers, users to support timely and accurate implementation of system changes and build teamwork Evaluate change request scoping documentation, and make recommendations to ensure system changes deliver on the desired outcomes and adhere to consistent standards that align with business rules Highlight complexity, business impact, and propose risk mitigation strategies for upcoming changes previously planned, or any proposed changes that result from analysis of problems Evaluate and escalate quality issues to OOS Unit supervisor to ensure timely resolution Keywords: active directory information technology Massachusetts |
