Hi, I hope you are doing great. Kindly find the below-mentioned job description and if interested, share your updated resume at [email protected] Rate is $50-55/hr on C2C Role: Deep Learning/Computer Vision Scientist: Junior level Location: Atlanta, GA Length: 24+ months Interview: MS Teams Video Interview Shift: Remote Visa: No H1/CPT Notes: New Graduate or 1-3 years of relevant industry experience (as a Computer Vision Scientist, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Machine Learning Scientist, etc.) preferred; or proven qualifications. Min 3 years experience python (academic projects, hobby, work\\intern experience) Min 2 years experience PyTorch (academic projects, hobby, work\\intern experience) Who we are and what we do: The AI and Data Science team is centralized across the entire organization. We work with various product teams across various business units to define high-impact business problems, solve them using novel techniques, and execute and monitor them throughout their lifecycle. Most of our models make it to production, they never sit in a research lab. But we also do quite a bit of research to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies/algorithms. We are collaborative, you will likely get lots of ideas from the team. What kind of problems do we solve: There are high-frame cameras beside our tracks, capturing images of trains and rail cars as they pass. We design various Deep Learning and Computer Vision algorithms to detect certain objects of interest or issues and defects. We then optimize their performance and deploy them at the edge for real-time scoring and notification of our mechanical personnel upon detections. Specialized rail cars and locomotives image the track as they move along the network. We use this information to create a digital twin of our entire network. With this digital model, we can remotely analyze the condition of our rails and proactively address the safety of our tracks. We have massive amounts of LiDAR data collected from our network. We design Deep Learning algorithms to find features of interest and to track their changes over time. Want to learn more Apply today! What tools do we use: We use Python We use Jupyter notebook, PyCharm. We use PyTorch for Deep Learning, and OpenCV for traditional Computer Vision. You will have your own dedicated GPU (!) in addition to a GPU cluster to run parallel training and inference jobs. We always have the latest versions of our tools/packages/libraries available. What are our requirements: Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Statistics or related field New Graduate or 1-3 years of relevant industry experience (as a Computer Vision Scientist, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Machine Learning Scientist, etc.) preferred; or proven qualifications. Excellent knowledge of Python and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow Min 3 years experience python (academic projects, hobby, work\\intern experience) Min 2 years experience PyTorch (academic projects, hobby, work\\intern experience) Experience with image processing using Deep Learning (semantic segmentation, object detection, classification) Familiarity with various deep learning architectures (UNET, EfficientNet, Yolov5 & Yolov8, letr etc) Experience with traditional image processing techniques (e.g. use of OpenCV, skimage) Experience with deployment to the edge devices (jetson nano or similar technologies) is a plus Nice to Haves: Knowledge of Linux Knowledge of Docker Multi Node Inference\\Training Tracking algorithms such as DeepSort What will be your duties: Design, develop, and implement novel computer vision algorithms for unique use cases. Design and build novel/custom deep learning architectures. Evaluate accuracy and quality of the designed models as well as data sources. Stay up to date with the latest models and changes in the technology. Create datasets from repository of data. define labeling scheme and track quality of labels. Design and develop production ready code. Communicate results and implications to colleagues and business partners. Coordinate with application development teams to integrate developed models with existing applications. Computer Vision/Deep Learning Scientist: Junior Capital Project: Computer Vision/Deep Learning Scientists work with various product teams across various business units to define high-impact business problems, solve them using novel techniques, and execute and monitor them throughout their lifecycle. They are required to design, develop, and implement novel computer vision algorithms for unique use cases. They evaluate accuracy and quality of the designed models as well as data sources. They also do quite a bit of research to stay up to date with the latest technologies/algorithms. They are very collaborative. They are highly technical and require advanced skills with computers and proficiency with Open-Source tools and technologies such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and MXNet for Deep Learning, and OpenCV for traditional Computer Vision. They need to have excellent knowledge of Python and industry experience with TensorFlow, Keras and/or PyTorch. Additionally, they need experience with image processing using Deep Learning (semantic segmentation, object detection, classification). They also require familiarity with various CNN architectures (VGG16, ResNet, MobileNet, etc). Also need experience with traditional image processing techniques (e.g., use of OpenCV, skimage). They work on dedicated GPU machines and run their models in parallel on GPU Clusters.
