From: Navnish Kumar, Stellent It [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Electrical Engineer Location: Portland, Oregon (onsite) Interview: Phone + Skype Job Summary: We are looking for a Software Commission Engineer to join our team and support the development and testing of Automotive ECUs for our vehicles. You will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and troubleshooting the software configurations on our test fleet vehicles, as well as assisting the commissioners and engineers in root cause analysis and issue resolution. You will also work with various tools and protocols to communicate with the ECUs and collect data. Job Responsibilities: Review and interpret the current software configurations on the test fleet vehicles and execute software flashing and parameter updates using end of line programming system or manual methods Record and track all software sets and parameters and create issue tickets for any failed software flashing or updates Communicate and coordinate with the engineering and PVE fleet management teams on the actions and next steps for the software commissioning and finalization Gather feedback and actions from the shakedown tests, including faults, and drive updates to completion Develop proficiency in software and CAN tools for vehicle troubleshooting and support the troubleshooting of HV, LV, and subsequent systems Support the voice of the customer in best practices back to engineering or build team and create and update documentation related to build, updates, or repairs Participate and pass all relevant training Job Requirements: Bachelors or masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent 2+ years of system engineering experience with automotive ECUs, including system integration and testing 2+ years of total automotive software experience, including calibration development, controls development, test case development, etc. Strong understanding of automotive ECUs, technology, systems, and subsystems Experience with Ethernet/CAN/LIN loggers (Vector tools, Vehicle Spy, etc.) Experience with vehicle calibration tools Experience with diagnostic protocols in automotive ECUs (UDS, KWP, GMLAN, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments with direction from supervisor Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills of test benches, ECUs based on behavior seen and logs collected Understand system requirements and control algorithms as it relates to automotive applications Keywords: information technology |
