Title: Junior Network Engineer Location: Herndon, VA (Onsite) Duration: 4-month CTH Visa: USC or GC Need local only REQUIRED Top 3 Technical skills: Cisco routers and switches Configuration of cisco routers and switches. Fast paced environment looking for 1-2 years of experience 6 months wouldnt be enough because of the fast paced they need to go and ramp up. Understanding basic networking and familiarity with cisco equipment. Inventory management - nice to have; please try to prioritize this skill, but not a deal breaker. Nice to have: Environment is CISCO SD WAN (software define WAN) environment V Manage and Cisco DNA center. They will be spending a lot of their time in these environments. Soft skills: Good work ethic Working in a fast-paced environment because they will be go for the 4 months. Following directions and detail oriented Good communication skills they will be speaking with other individuals on the team. Job Description: In Herndon, they have their equipment and network lab where they build routers and switches. New project refreshing network environment. They are replacing the routers and switches at their branches. In this project, because they need to get it done in a timely manner, they need dedicated resources for this project. Day to day Taking brand new cisco routers and switches, configuring them (they have tools that make configuration easy), then basically putting in instructions for techs in the box/labels with the routers and switches, then package the box to send to the techs that will be onsite at the branches/sites. Once the tech at the branches receives the box of equipment, the two contractors will be on the phone helping with the install. 490 locations that they will need to do this for, so this will be fast paced. Certification: Cisco certs but that is a nice to have CCNA cert would be good to see any cisco certs would be good.
