Please share resume on [email protected] Role: Azure Support Engineer Work Location: Buffalo/Cheektowaga, NY (100% Remote) Tentative Start date: As soon as possible Term Duration (in months): 6 months (with possibility of extension) Working Hours (i.e. 8am 5pm): 8:30 5:00, occasional after hours (as dictated by project requirements) Additional Notes: All visas are ok as long as their English is excellent and they are in EST (no OPT EADs) Role Description: Cloud Competency Center Americas, Azure Support Engineer The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure services, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for providing top-notch support to our users. As a Level 2 Azure Support Engineer, you will be resolving complex technical issues, collaborating with Level 1 and 3, and ensuring the optimal performance of Azure environments. Our client, a global hospitality firm with on-site services encompassing food, facilities management, and workplace & technical management services, is seeking an Azure Support Engineer to join their team on a 6+ month contract basis. Years of Experience Required: Minimum 4-6 years experience supporting Infrastructure technologies to the Cloud. Preferred: Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or equivalent are a plus. International experience is a plus, ability to speak French is not necessary but would be a plus. English required. Required Qualifications: Provide technical support and guidance to clients experiencing Azure-related issues, serving as the primary point of contact for Level 2 support escalations. Analyze and troubleshoot Azure platform-related incidents, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Collaborate with Level 1 and 3 support engineers to escalate and resolve complex issues that require in-depth technical expertise. Document support processes, solutions, and troubleshooting steps to contribute to the knowledge base and enhance overall team efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of Azure services. Maintain Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, PowerShell scripts, and other automation tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management. Implement and enforce security best practices for Azure infrastructure, including network security groups, firewall rules, access control, and encryption mechanisms. Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies, tools, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for improving infrastructure automation and DevOps practices. Participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to technical discussions, development efforts across multiple teams and areas of responsibility, and infrastructure planning. Skills: Proven experience in supporting Azure services with a focus on Level 2 support for RBAC, PaaS Configuration, Security, and Networking. Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
