Job Description: Vehicle Software Systems Engineering (VSSE) is part of the Systems Engineering Product Driven Organization. This department provides software solutions to Product Development (PD) users. Vehicle Cybersecurity Access is one of the applications managed by the VSSE team which deals with the end-to-end lifecycle of the security keys/Digital Certificates used by Manufacturing plants, suppliers, and Customer Service and Diagnostic engineers to unlock and make software/configuration updates to ECUs (Electronic Control Units). This is a business-critical application from a Cybersecurity perspective and helps avoid costly Stop-Ships in the manufacturing plants. VSSE is seeking a Technical Product Manager who embraces Lean, Agile, Pair Programming, and Extreme Programming (XP) practices to deliver innovative software products. You will support the IT needs for EE Architecture business areas including In-Vehicle Network Communications (NetCom), Hardware Design & Architecture (Core Architecture), Software Architecture, and various module (ECU) teams. Tools supported are COTS applications (PREEvision from Vector) as well as In-House developed applications. To thrive in this position, you have strong hands-on Software engineering/ programming, Software Delivery experience using Agile and Lean practices, and Technical Product Management experience. Skills Required: Backlog management, Developing Requirements, User Stories Manage Development team using Agile methodology Software engineering/ programming/ solution design Angular, Typescript, React, or JavaScript Object-Oriented Development -Spring Platform (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Spring Cloud) CI/CD Pipeline Technologies Automated Testing Skills Preferred: Ensures the backlog is populated with enough prioritized user stories that are ready to be estimated for the next two iterations. Actively works to identify and remove/ mitigate risks and blockers to product delivery. Experience Required: 3+ years of Software Delivery experience using Agile and Lean methodologies including defining and prioritizing product features and working with backlog management tools 3+ years of Technical Product Management experience 3+ years of experience managing user requirements and user stories, calculating stories, tracking the delivery process, and managing software projects using Rally or Jira, or similar Agile Tools 1+ years of experience in supporting Cloud-based Software Products on preferably the Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platforms. Proven record in making delivery commitments, managing customer expectations, and delivering on commitments. 3+ years of Strong hands-on Software engineering/ programming/ solution design experience which includes at least one of the following web or mobile technologies: Angular (preferred), Typescript, React, or JavaScript 3+ years of Object-Oriented Development experience where expertise was applied in building microservices architectures on JVM platform concepts with the following tools and technologies: Spring Platform (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Spring Cloud) Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and technologies (Jenkins CI or similar) 2+ years of experience working with RDMBS 2+ years of experience working with GitHub Experience Preferred: Validated experience defining the product vision, strategy, and product roadmaps, and crafting and managing backlogs. Ability to articulate complex information succinctly and accurately. Able to traverse and translate both technical and business language. Proven facilitation skills - able to effectively drive discussion among diverse perspectives and reach a decision or recommendation. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams outside the direct span of control to resolve complex and ambiguous challenges across multi-tiered architecture platforms inside and outside of the technology and software organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills by collaborating with multi-functional teams to develop comprehensive product test plans, solve issues, etc. in a fast-paced, agile environment.
