Client Movate / C Spire. Mode of Hiring: Contract Responsibilities Configures and Maintains Discovery Application Works closely with Configuration Manager in the population of CMDB Interfaces with Compute, Network, and Security teams to assure access and permissions Resolving discovery errors related to permissions and access Assuring completion of scheduled discovery jobs Assisting in the validation and testing of Discovery after upgrades Reviewing the environment for changes and new requirements that may drive changes to the Discovery solution Assures downloads from the ServiceNow store occur monthly for CMDB Classes and Discovery patterns Add new schedules, IP ranges, and credentials for new devices and environments Integrations with 3rd party discovery tools, such as Logic Monitor. Provide timely resolution to systems problems. Develop effective working relationships with other departments, groups, managers and vendors. Proactively seek efficient and quality solutions. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED o Bachelors degree in the field of computer science or information systems and 5 years related (Network/System) administration work experience required. o Extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, lifecycle methodologies, practices, and procedures within the (Network/System) administration field is required. o Extensive knowledge of the ServiceNow platform required. o Experience designing and implementing MID-Servers for ServiceNow Discovery required. o Experience creating / updating ServiceNow Discovery IP ranges and schedules required. o Experience must include knowledge of, and the ability to properly interpret and act on, CI IRE rules, discovery logs (e.g.: errors), patterns and probes (e.g.: debugging). o Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST required. o System administration experience using SHELL/BASH and / or PowerShell required. o Familiarity with XML and JSON/script language concepts strongly preferred. o Ability to write clear and concise communications required. o Ability to provide hands on training to users with different levels of experience. o Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio required. o High level of analytical, planning, and organizational ability required. o Strong working experience receiving and working from program and creative briefs, business requirement documents, use cases, test cases, functional requirements, and business cases for large integration projects. o Strong leadership and communication skills required - Teamwork & collaboration skills to work across organizations and lead cross-functional teams. o Enjoys and is willing to contribute to a collaborate environment.
