This role is 100% on-site. The Cisco Network Systems engineer will be part of the Network Services department that is responsible for all the Companies network infrastructure ( ex: switches/routers/ VPNs/wireless devices/firewalls/datacenters) and interconnections between the companys multiple locations, disaster recovery sites, internet, Internet2 and cloud applications and services. The Cisco Network Systems Engineer analyzes networking needs, recommends solutions, designs, implements, maintains, and supports the companys local area network (LAN) and the wide area network (WAN). This individual must be able to work independently, juggle multiple demands and prioritize work in a dynamic environment. The Network Systems Engineer will need to have proven ability to provide technical expertise in the engineering, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of the network in support of all the business needs. Desired Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience configuring and managing enterprise class Cisco network systems including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IOS an NX-OS based platforms Proven experience configuring IPv4/IPv6 based routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP,BGP, MPLS, and IP Multicast Routing. Switch technology including GLBP,HSRP, NX-OS based VPC configuration, LACP/PAgP port channels, and advanced QoS configurations. Nice to have current Routing & Switching/Security related Certification or currently studying for certification. Ideally have experience working with WiFi Aruba equipment and OS-CX configurations. Understanding conceptually of how Cloud Networking works, not simply using AWS, GCP etc. Excellent benefits and work environment.
