Vmware  Engineer Houston ,TX 1. Be a focal point for implementation of Infrastructure Tech Refresh projects taking direction from Customer Leadership as needed. The Tech Refresh includes replacing servers, storage, network switches, or other related infrastructure hardware/software. 2. t experience working with Vmware, Windows and Backup products including hands on experience in migration projects. 3. Facilitate updating and auditing asset management system. Ensure all IT infrastructure assets within scope are under maintenance and support contracts. 4. Perform continuous service improvement projects for data center as required. 5. Coordinate and direct hands and feet support resources for data center operations. 6. Perform Data Center/Server room cleanup activities such as proper cable management, ensuring dual power, and consolidation of equipment in racks. 7. Ensure all Data Center/Server room comply with customer standards 8. Assist SABIC team in yearly audits Data Center/Server room/IDF compliance 9. Coordinate with customer designated vendor for proper disposal of assets by following SABIC standard procedures10. L2/L3 support for change requests related to data center operations 11. Coordinate with asset owner teams to resolve any issues or new requirements related to physical appliances or cabling. 12. Prepare or maintain rack diagrams, cabling information and related diagrams based on connectivity details for SABIC IT infrastructure assets in the data center. 13. Average monthly tickets for data center operations support ~30-35. 14. Troubleshooting ESX issues related to storage, network and performance issues15. Windows 2016/2019 R2 Server support and troubleshooting. 16.
