| Position: 508 Compliance Engineer Location: Remote Experience: 8+ years Client: ECS Tech Visa: Only USC Job Description: The primary mission of the Mint is to produce an adequate volume of circulating coinage for the Nation to conduct its trade and commerce. The Mint also produces and sells numismatic coins, American Eagle gold and silver bullion coins, and national medals. The USM Sales and Marketing Division is responsible for the end to end product lifecycle of manufactured products. The Sales and Marketing mission requires the implementation and testing of a SaaS solution to support its eCommerce goals. The importance of comprehensive testing program and its impact on the US Mint (USM) Sales and Marketing mission and SaaS solution cannot be overestimated. It is critical that the Sales and Marketing business processes remain functional, reliable, and available to support USMs mission and Sales and Marketing objectives. The Sales and Marketing require full life cycle testing support to validate and verify all requirements are met, testing cycles are scheduled and coordinated, testing results tracked and reported, and all testing exit criteria are satisfied. Every Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) created, acquired, maintained, or utilized by the federal government must comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, a federal requirement. Testing for Section 508 compliance assures that all users can utilize technology employed by the government. This role will provide 508 Compliance SME support to ensure the SaaS solution satisfies the 508 compliance requirements, the manual and automated testing addresses 508 compliance requirements. Once the tests are completed by the SaaS vendor, this engineer will review the test results and log any defect into the defect repository. The 508 Compliance Engineer is responsible for: Collaborate with USM and the SaaS vendor to ensure all requirements reflect the user, functional, integration, security, Section 508, and performance requirements for this transactional eCommerce based solution and that the requirements are achievable as well as testable. Provide Section 508 Compliance Subject Matter Expertise to interpret applicable 508 Compliance standards. Validate that the SaaSs automated and manual testing is appropriate for ensuring Section 508 compliance. Review/compare the 508 compliance test results provided by the SaaS against the 508 compliance test results obtained by USM during the SaaSs system testing. Ensure that all 508 Compliance defects are logged in the defect repository. Provide ALM management support and document and execute tests via the ALM tool. Required Skills: Expert knowledge and experience with Section 508 compliance standards and testing, implementation. At least 8 years of combined new and related older technical experience in the IT field directly related to the required area of expertise. Bachelors degree. With a Master's Degree in the same areas as the Bachelor's Degree requirement, 8 years of general experience of which at least 4 years must be specialized. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently. Excellent communication skills, with both technical and non-technical personnel. Able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Must have one of the following certifications or the equivalent throughout the life of the task order: ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, CSPO, IIBA, PMI, PBA, and Agile Analysis Certification Desired Skills: 6 years of direct Section 508 compliance analysis experience. 4 years experience with automated testing.
