The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and developing Cognos solutions, with a focus on maintaining optimal system performance. The role will involve a balance of administration (70%) and development (30%) responsibilities, and a solid understanding of Cognos Version 12 and experience in an AWS environment is essential. Key Responsibilities: Cognos Administration (70%): Administer and maintain the Cognos environment to ensure optimal performance and availability. Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance tasks. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Cognos solutions. Implement security measures and ensure data integrity within the Cognos environment. Cognos Development (30%): Develop and enhance Cognos reports, dashboards, and analytics to meet business needs. Collaborate with the development team to integrate Cognos solutions into existing systems. Participate in the design and implementation of Cognos solutions to optimize performance and usability. Functional Understanding of Version 12: Possess a strong functional understanding of Cognos Version 12, including new features and enhancements. AWS Environment: Experience working in an AWS environment, including deployment and maintenance of Cognos components. Required Skills: Proven experience as a Cognos Administrator with a balance of administration and development responsibilities. Strong functional understanding of Cognos Version 12. Hands-on experience in an AWS environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Cognos certification is a plus.
