Job Description Role: SQL Developer Location: Hybrid Job Type: Contract 11+ Years experience We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with expertise in MS SQL Server, SSRS, SQL programming, writing stored procedures, and proficiency in ETL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database concepts, query optimization, and data modeling. Responsibilities: Align Sigmoid with key Client initiatives Interface daily with customers across leading Fortune 500 companies to understand strategic requirements Stay up-to-date on the latest technology to ensure the greatest ROI for customer & Sigmoid Hands on coder with excellent understanding of SQL Programming. Design and implement APIs, abstractions and integration patterns to solve challenging distributed computing problems Experience in defining technical requirements, data extraction, data transformation, automating jobs, productionizing jobs, and exploring new technologies. Culture Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to think unconventional / out:of:box. Analytical and data driven orientation. Raw intellect, talent and energy are critical. Entrepreneurial and Agile : understands the demands of a private, high growth company. Should be an independent and individual contributor as well as a good team player. Facilitate in Technical Aspects Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for efficient data retrieval and manipulation. Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies. Create and maintain data models, ensuring data integrity, normalization, and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of SQL code to ensure accuracy and reliability Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources. Qualifications: 6+ years track record of relevant work experience and a Computer Science or related technical discipline is required. 6+ years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role. Knowledge of other database systems such as Oracle or MySQL. Familiarity with MongoDB, Tabloid and Power BI. Preferred Qualification: Experience in agile methodology Certification in MS SQL Server or related technologies. Experience with version control systems. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
