Job Title: ERP Manager / ERP Product Owner (Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, & SCM) Job Type: Contract-to-hire Worksite Location: Onsite 3-4 days per week, in North Dallas, TX- Hybrid Must have skills- ERP, Dynamics 365, Finance & Operations (F&O) and SCM Overview: This position will be an ERP Manager, and candidates need to have managed people in the past. They also still need to be a SME and Product Owner in Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and Supply Chain Management (SCM). They still need to have Manufacturing industry experience. They need to be able to work closely with their business stakeholders and lead/influence those folks. They need to have some understanding of project management, but they are not looking for a Project Manager (PM), because a PM is not going to be the SME and be able to function as a Product Owner for their lines of business, as they will own the product backlog. The ERP Manager / Product Owner is responsible for our Finance & Operations Product and serves as a liaison between (8) lines of business and IT teams by facilitating communication and determining software objectives that align with business needs. This role identifies, defines, and documents business processes and software requirements. This role represents business needs and priorities, prioritizes, and manages the product backlog, and incorporates feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement. The incumbent, as the product owner, will work towards making the product backlog transparent, visible, and understood with an overall objective of increasing product value. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: This job description represents only the primary areas of responsibility; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department. Leads the functional design, implementation, and maintenance of our D365 Finance & Operations Solutions. Manages the ERP team directly and oversees the solution implementation and governance. With a deep understanding of relevant business area(s), recommends solutions and builds high-quality requirements. Understands business and end-user needs; identifies and prioritizes features to be delivered to meet those needs. Shapes business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions. Translates conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements. Works with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories and manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process. Maximizes the value of the product by assuming the product owner role. Defines the product goal and be the overall custodian of the product backlog. Prioritizes and maintains the product backlog and participate in sprint planning to determine the teams objectives for the upcoming sprint. Participates in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog refinement, and team retrospectives; ensures the team has a clear understanding of priorities and next steps. Leads the sprint review meeting to present the output from the sprint to key stakeholders. Analyzes feedback from sprint reviews, and other data such as end user feedback and operational metrics, to identify and understand product needs. Works with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures and done. Assists the team on the development of feature tests, test cases, and regression tests. Sets expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities. Works closely with the Project Manager to establish and improve Agile best practices by identifying gaps and guiding development team to improve on team agility. Experience & Education Requirements: A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and 8-10 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Prior experience in designing and implementing business solutions together with integrations and migrations Product owner certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus. Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Supply Chain Management and related modules ADP or Epicor is beneficial. Familiarity with EPM tools (e.g., Hyperion, TM1, etc.) preferred. Ability to understand complex business problems and experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders. Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of a new business area. Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to engage and influence both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes. Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing. Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation, use case, story and acceptance criteria. Proven Project Management skills and ability to initiate, plan and execute projects. Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills. Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies and hands on with Azure DevOps.
