Sr Technical Project Manager

Location-
Seattle, WA

We are seeking a highly skilled and
experienced Sr Technical Project Manager to join our organization. The ideal
candidate will have a proven track record in successfully leading multiple
infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity projects simultaneously. As a Sr
Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving
transformational projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to

Responsibilities

Project Leadership:
 Lead and manage moderate to complex
infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity projects from initiation to
completion. Take ownership and accountability for project delivery,
ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Serve as
the primary point of contact for all project-related activities. Develop a
project plan that outlines the scope, timelines, resource requirements,
risks, and interdependencies.

Planning and
Execution:
 Develop comprehensive project
plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk
management strategies. Coordinate project activities, track progress, and
manage project risks and issues. Implement effective project management methodologies
and best practices (experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid). Oversee
the execution of project tasks, ensuring adherence to the project plan and
timelines. Monitor progress, track milestones, and resolve any issues or
roadblocks that may arise during project implementation.

 Project
Team Management: Assemble and lead a project team, assigning
roles and responsibilities to team members. Provide direction, guidance,
support, and motivation to ensure effective teamwork and project
collaboration.

Stakeholder
Management and Communications:
 Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders,
including executives, sponsors, accountable leaders, resource managers,
external partners, and team members. Manage expectations, solve problems,
escalate issues, and drive decisions. Create and help execute
comprehensive change management strategies and communication plans.

 Project
Governance: Establish project governance structures, processes,
and frameworks to ensure effective decision-making, risk management, and
reporting, including regular progress reporting, milestone tracking, and
project status updates. Define roles and responsibilities for project
governance committees and project teams.

Resource
Management:
 Allocate and
manage resources across projects. Optimize resource utilization, address
conflicts, and monitor resource availability to ensure project success.
Collaborate with Resource Managers to secure resources for your project.

Budget Management:
 Establish project budget, track project
spending and reforecast spending regularly throughout project lifecycle.

Risk and Issue
Management:
 Identify,
assess, and manage risks and issues across the project. Develop mitigation
strategies, contingency plans, and escalation procedures to minimize
potential disruptions and address challenges. Maintain RAID log.

Monitoring and
Control:
 Implement processes to monitor and
control project progress, milestones, scope, schedule, budget, and
deliverables. Regularly assess project performance, track key performance
indicators (KPIs), and provide status reports to stakeholders.

Change Control:
 Manage changes within the project,
including changes in scope, requirements, or timelines. Evaluate change
requests, assess their impact on the project, document change decisions,
and communicate changes effectively to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:
 Define and implement quality standards,
processes, and metrics to ensure high-quality deliverables. Conduct
project audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Vendor Management:
 Manage relationships with external vendors
and contractors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring,
and issue resolution.

Continuous
Improvement:
 Identify
areas for improvement based on lessons learned from completed projects.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation,
process enhancements, and lessons learned to drive operational excellence.

Project assignments for 2024

Wireless refresh Wood Products

Refresh aging Meraki wireless
network equipment (~350 access points) at multiple Wood Products distribution
locations (10 sites). Ensure continued coverage and expand wireless in areas
where the yard or product storage areas have changed. Implement 5GHz capability.
Budget $1M.

Network switch refresh Wood Products

Refresh aging network equipment
(~300 switches) at multiple Wood Products business locations (15 sites),
replacing them with standard Cisco switches; add UPS units and new
cabinets where needed. Budget $900K.

Security Information and Event Mgmt (SIEM) deployment

Evaluate and implement security
technology solutions with supporting operational processes and procedures that
enables real-time threat detection, compliance and security incident management
across Weyerhaeusers corporate and manufacturing environments. Budget $800K.

OT monitoring deployment

Implement cybersecurity platform
across all Weyerhaeuser manufacturing sites that will enable IT/Security to
identify and prioritize cybersecurity risks through asset visibility,
vulnerability management and threat detection capabilities. Budget $500K.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
experience required.

6+ years of
progressive, relevant information technology project management experience
is required. Deep experience managing moderately complex IT projects from
beginning to end, meeting budget, scope, schedule, and benefits targets

PMP (Project Management
Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification are
highly desirable.

 Strong
leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and
motivate cross-functional teams is required.

Excellent
communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to
effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and
non-technical audiences at all levels is required

In-depth knowledge
and hands on experience with project management methodologies (e.g.,
Agile, Waterfall, hybrid), as well as relevant industry standards, best
practices. and experience with industry standard project management tools
(MS project, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps) is required. 

Experience
managing, tracking and reporting progress of work using data within Azure
DevOps including development of burn down charts and reporting plan vs
actual results is required.

Proven ability to
plan and execute the work in agile sprints while providing full
transparency into the progress to complete the agreed upon project scope
in alignment with project level milestones and deliverables is required.

Solid understanding
of IT infrastructure, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and enterprise
software implementations is required.
