| Job Title : Business Intelligence Developer Visa: USC only MOI: Skype Rate: $50/hr c2c max Location: Remote Client : Knowledge Builder Inc Job details : Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer. Gather and validate of BI and reporting requirements Document requirements & solutions Perform Data profiling on the source systems Design and review star schema dimensional model to support data warehouse and data marts Perform Source to Target Mapping between source system database and data warehouse target database Develop ETL transformations using one of the ETL tools like Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Develop reports and analytics using one of the tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (Pentaho or Tableau) Develop complex queries using Transact-SQL leveraging analytic functions Perform necessary Testing Complete Documentation Provide Web Development support to embade the anaytics reports on the Agency's internal portal (intranet). Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server, Pentaho Business Intelligence Suite Microsoft Windows server and client platforms Candidate will have to attend all New York State and Agency mandatory training programs. Mandatory training includes information security and Section 110-a compliance, workplace tolerance and harassment prevention courses. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and precisely to a team of technologists who must benefit from extensive knowledge transfer during this engagement. This knowledge transfer will occur during both design and development meetings. Also, the Design documents, Detailed specifications and Training materials, which the candidate will help produce, will also help transfer knowledge. MUST HAVE 5 Year Experience in building extraction and transformation of transactional data to drive data warehouse loads and end user BI as well as reporting requirements using ETL tools like Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 5 Year Experience in reporting and analytics tools such as Pentaho or Tableau 5 Year Experience in complex SQL development leveraging analytics functions using in Sybase ASE or SQL Server 2 Year Experience in Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) development. 5 Year Experience in Star Schema / Dimensional Modeling to support data warehouse environments 5 Year Experience in doing data profiling and source to target mappings 3 Year Experience in doing Web development using Java, HTML, and CSS -- Keywords: business intelligence information technology |
