Job Title: Aerospace Software Engineer Location: Brentwood, MO( Hybrid) Duration: 6+ Months Visa Type: USC/GC Job Description:- Position Responsibilities: Candidate will be considered to work on one of two teams, supporting an Advanced Trainer Jet. Top Skillsets: C++, C, ~ C# (some small app runs utilize C#) Coding in Windows, experience with Linux is a plus; for more senior candidates, professional experience with Linux Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree 5+ years' experience in Object Oriented Programming 3+ years' experience programming in C/C++ Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with Visual Studio IDE, Git (version control) Experience in aerodynamics, Guidance and Control (G&C), sensor modeling, DIS/HLA (Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA), electronic warfare, and/or communications systems Experience in integrating fighter platform and adversary systems onto the network Familiarity in project management tools such as (JIRA, VersionOne etc.) Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows, LINUX, etc.) Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint) Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals Experience with SAFe methodologies and/or other Agile frameworks Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques. Ability to complete tasking independently with minimal direct supervision Typical Education/Experience: Level 3 - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master and 3 years. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
