| From: Suraj Barik, Vyze Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Job Title: CCNP - Chromebook and FORTINET Location : Tucker, GA(Must be local to GA) Duration: 8 Month Visa : USC & GC Job Details BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE The Network Technology Specialist is responsible for overseeing all technology-related matters at the assigned campus locations. This role collaborates closely with educators, administrators, parents, and students to resolve technology issues. In addition to these responsibilities, this specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing and managing Telco Fibre connections, specifically the 10G AT&T Telco Circuit extending from the Dmarc to the various campuses. Addressing challenges related to the current throttling of the 10G Circuit to 1G due to aging infrastructure, pending funding for eventual replacement, is also within the scope of this role. GEAR AND TECHNOLOGY PROFICIENCY Proficiency in handling a wide range of technology equipment, including: ChromeBook Device support for the school district Ruckus Wireless APs (e.g., 650's or 750's) Cradlepoint Repeaters Fortigate Firewall Gear Linewize Content Filter A mix of HPe Switches and Extreme Networks switches. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Possess an expert understanding of Telco Fibre connections, particularly the 10G AT&T Telco Circuit, to ensure seamless network performance from the Dmarc to the various campuses. Expertly troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware, software, and networks, covering servers, laptops, desktops, audio-visual equipment, and various applications and operating systems. Provide technical support for the installation, repair, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals, accommodating the configurations utilized within the school system to support staff and students. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information and adhere to established chains of command. Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders, ensuring timely updates and resolutions. Maintain a professional attitude, especially during adverse situations, while adhering to district policies and guidelines on Technology, Digital Citizenship, Cybersecurity, and Safety. Demonstrate initiative by taking full responsibility for all job-related tasks and performing routine duties with minimal direct supervision. Stay current on continuously evolving technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the role, staying up-to-date with educational technology trends.
