He/she/they will play an important role in the CIB Americas servers Infrastructure monitoring operation, methodology, and coordination and will work closely with Head Office teams on tasks and projects with an emphasis on the servers' vulnerabilities & patch management, and the servers' obsolescence. The candidate should be able to demonstrate both technical capabilities and a good knowledge of various end-users' technologies, and best practices. The candidate should have the ability to convey in non-technical terms complex technical explanations related to problems, designs, etc. The role responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: Technical support and Manage and support Clients Servers Infrastructure Work with the SSD group on identifying End-Of-Life systems provide planning and execution. Support for Windows server security remediation and patch management via SCCM (Windows 2012-2019) and MECM Support for application patching / security package deployment Opening support cases with various hardware / software vendors, work on the cases through complete resolution. Work / coordinate with end users, as needed. Provide after-hours and weekend support as per the On-call schedule and/or as needed. Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common hardware and/or software issues. Proactive system monitoring, analysis, and documentation. Analyze and monitor the server infrastructure components proactively, ensure maximum uptime in connectivity, reliability, redundancy, and operation effectiveness within the company domain(s). Manage and maintain accurate inventory information for the server equipment. Create server administration documentation and maintain its accuracy, as well as the associated IT support and troubleshooting documents. Work with internal and external IT auditors to provide necessary audit evidence and documentation. Project work: Document project requirements and propose solutions for replacing End-Of life systems, manage project plans and execution, and report project status from start to finish. Enforce and follow policies and procedures for projects and task management, exercise best practices in system installation, configuration, redundancy, and system monitoring. Collaborate with the local/global IT teams to accomplish short- and long-term goals, manage the project plan and execution processes, and actively participate in all project phases. Manage the remediation of the server related issues on a regular basis to meet all business requirements. Assess hardware and software upgrade needs and maintain the respective systems up to date in terms of current versions and patching levels. Design, plan, implement and maintain scripts and automation tools to automate tasks that today are not standardized or are manually done. Requirements: 5+ years' experience in overall IT Experience with SCCM and MECM Knowledge and experience with VMWare and Re Hat Server support a plus Excellent communication skills Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or a related field Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, make sound decisions in emergency situations. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
