From: Jyoti, kpg99 [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] TITLE: SQL Server DBA/ Developer VISA: USC/GC LOCATION: Hartford, CT (Hybrid) 6-Month CTH The preferred candidate for this position will have an extensive history working with the full stack of products offered by Microsoft with a core focus on SQL Server database Infrastructure Deployment Experience and a proven ability to develop with PowerShell and WinRM to automate infrastructure deployments and configurations. A history of experience using configuration management tools such as Ansible in conjunction with PowerShell to manage Windows servers. The SQL Server Database Engineer will work closely with a team of database product specialists and help enhance our product portfolio of database products with a core focus on SQL Server products. The ability to work on other platforms such as Linux and with other database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle and NoSQL is HIGHLY desirable but not required. Core Stack: Windows/Powershell/Ansible/SQL Server/ T-SQL/ AWS Red is required Qualifications: 6+ years of highly technical experience of Microsoft SQL Server, Availability Groups and Failover Clusters, scheduling Agent jobs using credentials, understanding of key DMVs. 6+ years working in an Enterprise environment that uses Microsoft Active Directory services to manage users and groups and have a strong understanding of security best practices using Windows Authentication, Kerberos, and RBAC. 3+ years of experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, with preference on AWS. 5+ years of development/automation experience using PowerShell and PowerShell remoting via WinRM, data manipulation, and interaction with database technologies. 2+ years of experience using Ansible and Terraform to configure Windows systems using WinRM (Chef, Puppet experience will also be considered) 2+ years of experience using 3rd Party database backup tools such as Rubrik, Idera, Redgate, etc. and a firm understanding of native backup strategies. Extensive knowledge of TSQL. Familiarity with programming languages such as .NET, Python, GO. Strong understanding of SQL Server DBA related backup and recovery, security configuration, license management, reporting, integration, monitoring, audit, and performance troubleshooting skills.
