| Sr. Application Engineer Torrance, CA (Local Candidate Preferred) Work Type: Hybrid - Less than 60% 12 months Job Description: Responsibilities Hands on Technical lead with thorough knowledge of Web Technologies, AWS and Salesforce Expert in understanding business requirements and help solution it. Assist and direct in software development projects. Help establish standards across multiple platforms and efficient way to enforce those standards. Analyze, design, document, and configure existing applications. Ensure support queue is effectively managed and maintained via ServiceNow and Jira Collaborate with business stakeholders to establish proper standard operating procedures. Collaborate with Leads, Project Managers, and Business Analysts in planning and supporting new technologies. Collaborate with Quality Engineers to ensure proper testing and performance testing is completed before rollout. Coordinate with other technical staff (Internal and external) to provide expertise toward driving solutions. Ensure proper communication is sent to all business stakeholders and technical staff. Assist in the definition, configuration, support, and documentation of softwares business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments. Hybrid office schedule - 2 days on premise; subject to change. What will this person be working on: The Consumer Apps Team is responsible for supporting all the web applications that enable our end consumers. As a member of the team, you will gain understanding of the current applications within the team and help build, troubleshoot, and operate a wide variety of applications and ensure system uptime, responsiveness, and security. Sr. Application Engineer play a critical role that may include the analysis of business needs, research of potential solutions, leverage enterprise systems, coordinate, and drive solutions with third party vendors, collaborate on standard operating procedures, and transition to support. You will work with a high-performance team that operates cross coasts which consists of Financial Analysts, Business Analysts, Operations Management, Engineers, Sr. Engineers, Lead Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, and Quality Engineers on deploying, operating, and contributing to new innovations as well as working on stabilizing, monitoring, and improving existing systems. Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS': Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; alternatively, 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education (related certificates, or training) and experience. 5+ years of object-oriented enterprise software development (C#/.Net), with a focus on middle-tier/server-side functionality. 5+ years of web technology experience both on client and server-side. Strong skills in Git, Github, DevOps and networking practices, SQL, and understanding of relational database schema design. 5+ years of work experience in an IT support function 5+ years of experience with SQL (i.e., MS SQL) or 3+ year(s) of experience with MS SQL certification(s) Possess technical knowledge with IIS, Akamai, security certificates, server farms, load balancing, content management systems, responsive design, Adobe Analytics, or other related items in relation to web applications. Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively contribute to multiple projects in an efficient manner Strong record of accomplishment of meeting targets and objectives. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high availability environment. Ability to manage a high volume of tasks with excellent accuracy. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to communicate and work collaboratively effectively with members of interdisciplinary teams. Ability to understand and decipher large text-based logs from various sources (SQL, Windows, XML, JSON, etc.) Results oriented with a history of problem resolution and prevention.
