Role: Data Modeler Location: Remote Duration: Contract Data Modeling: Design and develop logical data models for various business domains, including entities, attributes, relationships, and constraints Preferably in Healthcare domain Analyze and understand complex business processes to identify data needs and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. Apply data modeling best practices, such as normalization and denormalization, to optimize data performance and maintainability. Translate conceptual data models into physical database models for various database platforms. Data Governance: Define and enforce data quality standards and rules to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Collaborate with data stewards and other stakeholders to establish data ownership and access controls. Implement data lineage tracking to ensure data traceability and understand the flow of information within the organization. Technical Skills: Proficient in data modeling methodologies, such as Dimensional Modeling and Entity-Relationship Modeling. Experience with database design and administration, including SQL and databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server). Familiarity with data modeling tools and diagramming software (e.g., erwin DM, PowerDesigner etc). Strong understanding of data warehousing and data integration concepts. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, explain data model decisions, and address concerns. Collaborate with developers, database administrators, and business analysts to ensure data models meet technical and business needs.
