Location: Garden City, New York

Duties

LIPA's environment consists of Client, VMware, and Windows servers. The Systems System Support Engineer will assist in the architecture, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the server infrastructure at LIPA and supporting desktop (Windows 7/10). The ideal candidate for this role will be able to maintain and enhance the Windows 2008/2012/2016, Active Directory Domain, Backup Exec, Veeam, and Office 365 and SharePoint.

Requirements
This is an 100% Onsite
Perform Active Directory, MS Exchange Online, and SharePoint administration.
Assists the team in developing and supporting long term and short-term strategies for systems operations such as configuration management, change management, and security.
Assists in architecting, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the Client, VMware and Windows server and Storage infrastructure.
Assists in architecting implementing and Supporting backup systems.
Assists in developing detailed disaster recovery systems and procedures.
Develops and support procedures for automating systems health check.
Performs hardware/software installations and upgrades on multiple distributed.
Assists in maintaining the SAN storage devices.
Supports backup recovery, performance and tuning, problem determination and resolution, and deployment.
Assists Desktop and Helpdesk team with problem resolution
