Role: Azure Data Architect Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid) Contract Role Job description: Total experience in data management area for 15 years with Azure cloud data platform experience Architect with Azure stack (ADLS, AALS, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Streaming Analytics Azure Data Factory, cosmos DB & Azure synapse) & mandatory expertise on Azure streaming Analytics, Data Bricks, Azure synapse, Azure cosmos DB Have built at least two Enterprise Data Warehouses from scratch. Has built at least 1 data solutions framework in an Architect role. Experience in defining the technical architecture on Azure relational DB, SQL DB, Synapse, Experience in on-prem DWH migration to cloud Working exposure to data engineering scripting languages like Python, Scala etc. Experienced in relational and dimensional modelling. Exposure in conducting maturity assessments of existing data lake/warehousing / ETL solutions. Exposure to BI/Visualization solutions using tools such as Power BI/Looker Exposure to Data Governance best practices and bringing governance practices across the enterprise. Strong experience with entire data quality life cycle Ability to conduct R&D, POC implementation, comparing alternative components and preparing reports on the same.
