Sr. Data Scientist Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Day 1 Onsite) 12 Months Purpose of Role/Organizational Unit: The Data Scientist will serve as a key member of the Client's Enterprise Data and Advanced Analytics team, collaborating with cross-functional units to harness data and advanced analytical techniques. This role involves problem-solving across domains such as regression, classification, natural language processing, business process optimization, and conducting research on new technologies and methodologies. Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend challenges and requirements. Translate business problems into analytical frameworks, identifying opportunities to address complex issues. Identify valuable data sources, explore data using analytical and visualization tools, and uncover trends and patterns. Apply statistical analysis and data mining techniques to analyze large, complex datasets. Improve data collection processes by pre-processing, transforming, and cleansing structured and unstructured data. Automate data collection using pipelines and develop/implement models, algorithms, and statistical methodologies for actionable insights. Create interactive dashboards and data visualization apps to present model results. Document best practices and quality standards for data science solutions. Review and provide feedback on data science applications, monitoring and optimizing production solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for model deployment and ensure scalability and accuracy. Demonstrate teamwork, proactivity, independence, and effective communication. Unique Competencies: 8+ years of experience in Data Science and Analytical Domains. Proficiency in SQL, Hive, scripting languages, R, Scala, and Java. Strong expertise in Python programming and usage of BI tools like Tableau, Looker. Experience in Hadoop, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), SAP, Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native technologies. Design and development of Google Cloud platform solutions; data ingestion using GCP ETL tools. Expertise in Data Management across databases like BigQuery, Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server. Proven experience in automating ML pipelines, container usage (Docker), and Git proficiency. Command-line skills in Linux environments and familiarity with enterprise tools. Strong mathematical skills, problem-solving aptitude, and excellent communication. Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or data analytics.
