Title: Lead Quality Assurance Specialist

Duration: 12+ Months

hybrid (2 days/week, but subject to change to Remote) 

Required skills:

8+ years' Experience testing (test planning, test development (test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios), and test execution) for large, complex multi-platf.

7+ years Experience using HP Mercury test tools. (e.g., Quality Center/ALM, Performance Center, Load Runner, QTP/UFT) 

7+ years Experience using database query tools and writing SQL. (e.g., Toad, AQT, etc.) 

5+ years Experience as a test lead 

5+ years Experience analyzing and executing batch processing jobs 

Experience with agile methodologies, including Azure DevOps   

Experience with test automation   

College degree or equivalent technical study   

Experience working with public agencies 

The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) is responsible for the design, pilot, and implementation of the software quality assurance review processes, and will work with application teams during sprint iterations and subsequent releases. 

 Requires extensive experience in software development, testing and project management, and demonstrates leadership for each phase end review. A lead role in the planning, scheduling, execution, and documenting the review findings. 

They are responsible for communicating with the development team and the business stakeholders regarding the progress of the quality approach and a summary of the metrics, and may manage other Quality Assurance Specialists. 

Review the projects required work products to ensure compliance with approved tailored procedures and standards. 

Review and check the projects software development activities and the associated internal tasks required as employed by the project and specified in the project plan. 

Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks as appropriate. 

Perform or manage the required software quality phase end reviews of work product and process for each software project and produce the required software equality reports, as specified in the project's software quality plan. 

Monitor progress of action item resolution activity and ensure appropriate stakeholders are aware of pending deadlines. 

Compare actual project procedures to the specified standards, procedures, and, if required, specific 3rd party contractual requirements. 

Ensure process improvement opportunities are reviewed by the appropriate contact to identify training needs of the organization.
