Role: Linux AdministratorLocation: Woodlawn, MD (Initial Remote) Duration: 12 Months Job description : Experience in Linux Administration Linux Professional Certifications a plus (LPIC, Linux+, RHCSA) Experience with Red Hat 7/8 and CentOS 7/8 Support Virtualization technology using VMware and Linux Kernel Virtualization. Knowledge in performing firmware upgrades, managing Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) Knowledge with coordinating replacement of failed components Oracle hardware Monitoring and administration of Operating system and its components (Disks, mount points, Packages, Users etc.) Implement proper system patching to address security vulnerabilities and accurately report security incidents Demonstrated awareness in automating server builds, standardizing images, and managing Linux systems via central management tools such as Satellite, Spacewalk, or Puppet/Ansible, etc. As part of a 24/7 Service Desk, perform the activities associated with the management of dedicated ticket queues to include prioritization of work and assignment to technical resources for resolution of end user concerns while ensuring service levels and objectives are met.
