| Job Title: Data Catalog Product Manager Experience: 10+ years Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid/Day 1 Onsite) Job Description: The Data Governance team is responsible for developing capabilities and creating procedures and policies across the enterprise. Job Summary: As a Data Catalog Product Manager, reporting into the Data Governance org, you will work with a broad range of stewards and stakeholders to build and maintain our data Catalog. You will perform analysis and tests to ensure compliance with key readiness requirements, and help drive forward our Data Governance program. The ideal candidate has some experience in data management, data governance or data analysis. You will be working with Product Owners, engineers and other data management professionals to drive data governance at Client. Additionally, you will execute on our roadmap to implement our enterprise digital asset governance framework, stewardship and quality for various data domains Sales, Customer Experience, Product usage data etc. You also have an opportunity to learn about the crown jewels of Client and build a network of stewards across the enterprise. What you will do: Design and implement a comprehensive Catalog strategy and framework to expand the coverage of the Client Data Catalog Define and collect definitions for crown jewels which necessitate elevated levels of Data Governance Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define and align strategies and roadmaps, grounded in stewardship, to ensure that the idea of crown jewel data is built into programs and projects by design Document detailed business requirements for the data Catalog tech team Define and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate success, using data to identify new opportunities What you will need to succeed: Has hands on experience in data quality, data profiling and other data analysis. Good understanding of data issues that impact user experience and remediations that needs to be applied to fix data issues, via Business processes and technical capabilities Relationship-driven with ability to interact with a wide range of individuals. Demonstrated track record in leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization. Familiarity with a variety of public and private cloud technologies, application/operation security, information security, as well as software development standard methodologies. Understanding of enterprise business systems architecture Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Organized with strong attention to detail and effective documentation skills Communicate on day-to-day activities to required stakeholders Desired: Experience with Collibra, Alation, or other Data Governance tools Light coding development experience Knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps and applications Must have excellent communication skills to all levels, strong writing skills -- Keywords: information technology California |
