Experience with database design and development efforts. Roles and duties include: - Work on large DB2LUW Databases V11.1, and V11.5 (new) environments - Create high availability environments using HADR, Q-Replication, Attunity, Purescale, or other software - Work within a team that delivers a high availability service - Review of Explain Plans with the dba team and developers to make recommendations - Monitor and tune a database to provide a high availability service - Provide knowledge of federated databases Knowledge and understanding of the business strategy and use of back office applications - Provide best DB query practice & methods Customer Service Teamwork Other: - Out of Hours Support where required experience of working in high pressure results oriented organization - Ability and flexibility to travel internationally at short notice - Work within multi-lingual environments. - Review/evaluate performance of the databases Schedule Monthly, quarterly maintenance windows, when required open service requests with IBM. - Support Participate in DB2LUW Team meetings Ensure alignment with current IT standards and controls Open and coordinate service requests with IBM Support. .
