From: Saeeda, Global IT Family [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Requisition ID: 61956 Estimated Duration: 01/22/2024 - 03/30/2024 Requisition Name: Linux Server Software Engineer Customer: APD 226 Peachtree St Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Onsite The purpose of this Scope of Work is to provide specialized expertise in Linux-based data retrieval and analysis for Law Enforcement. The incumbent shall offer specialized expertise in Linux-based data retrieval and analysis for law enforcement purposes. The services may include but are not limited to: Extraction and preservation of digital evidence from Linux systems. (will include two stand-alone systems) Forensic analysis and investigation of Linux-based devices. Recovery of deleted or encrypted data. (I Documentation and chain of custody for evidence. The incumbent may be required to provide on-site support for data retrieval, analysis, and consulting. The scope and location of on-site support will be mutually agreed upon between the law enforcement agency and the service provider. The incumbent will deliver the following: Comprehensive reports on data retrieval and analysis for each case. Evidence documentation in accordance with legal standards. Recommendations for further action, if necessary. Provide status reports and updates to law enforcement agency, to include progress made, find and any recommendations for the course of actions. The incumbent will adhere to strict data security and confidentiality protocols to ensure that all information and evidence obtained during the retrieval remain confidential and secure. The incumbent will operate in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including any relevant local, state, and federal laws pertaining to data retrieval and law enforcement agency activities. The incumbent works directly with our department, support vendors, staff and with other law enforcement resources to support the technical ecosystem of the Department Police. The incumbent must understand internal processes that ensure the safety for staff and the incumbent. The incumbent must pass a public safety background check and obtain any needed credentials within thirty (30) days of the start of the assignment. The incumbent must provide training and one-on-one tutorials as needed or when directed by the technology liaison. The incumbent will be required to provide on-site support for data retrieval, analysis, and consulting. The scope and location on-site will be mutually agreed upon between the law enforcement agency and the service provider. This person will be the primary person responsible for managing and maintaining the infrastructure for the Department as it relates to the data retrieval. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities for the incumbent include the following: In-depth understanding of Linux operating systems, command-line interfaces, and shell scripting Proficiency in configuring, securing, and maintaining Linux servers and systems Familiarity with encryption protocols, security best practices, and compliance standards Implementing encryption for data at rest and in transit, ensuring data security Writing scripts for data retrieval, automation, and system integration Understanding of API design and development principles Developing and maintaining APIs for integrating the Linux data retrieval system with other law enforcement databases and systems Understanding of information retrieval techniques, indexing, and search algorithms Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the data retrieval system.
