Job Role: Mainframe IMS/MVS Developer Location: Springfield, IL (Hybrid Role) Client: State of IL Job Description: The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking two (2) developers with skills in Mainframe IMS (Information Management System), MVS (Multiple Virtual Storage) on a time-and-materials basis to provide specialized software development services. The resources are to perform maintenance and project tasks for the Department staff. Education and Skills Required: must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields such as Accounting or Mathematics, or 6 years of equivalent the knowledge, skill and workplace experience. experience with IMS databases. experience with COBOL programming language experience with TSO ( Time Sharing Option) utility. experience with PANVALET (revision control and source code management system) utilities. experience with Microsoft Office experience with FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and transferring data from IMS files into EXCEL spreadsheets. experience with analysis and system design.
