Job Description - Title: Sr. Full Stack Power BI Engineer Work Location : 1 Chase Plaza #41 NYC NY 10005 (Downtown NYC, NY). (Candidate must be local) Duration: 1yr (Renewable Contracts) Work remote After 4 months on site. This is more than a Power BI Developer this is like a Data Engineer with expertise on the Power BI platform. Everything highlighted below is a MUST HAVE. The Job: Assurant is looking for Power BI consultants with strong development experience and strength in the above. Someone who can work with minimum supervision and interact with stakeholders and our team to get the projects/tasks completed It is essential that the candidate should have strong experience with Python in automation scripting and data integration development with third-party tools Skills Needed: 10+ years of IT Industry experience. 8 years + experience working for US companies in the US is a Must have. Insurance experience is preferred. Min 6 year experience working with Power Bi, Python, and Azure Data Bricks. Min 6 + years of Strong programming skills in Python for building automation and data extraction, strong exposure to data integration with third-party tools and frameworks such as Flask, Django and Fast API. Back End Skills: Python, Django/Flask/Fast API, NumPy, pandas and Relational Database 5+ years of Strong experience designing, implementing, and integrating enterprise-level highly effective Power BI applications and Power Platform solutions. 7+ years of demonstrated software, dashboard, and report design with a passion for having data tell the story 5+ years of experience engineering, designing, and integrating organization-wide controls/settings for Power BI and Power Platform. Very strong experience working with SQL for data modeling/data extraction and transformation. Very strong experience with Power BI and DAX for data visualization and analysis. Very strong experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse. Experience deploying Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) and ALM accelerator. Strong experience using various scripting languages such as M, Power FX, and Power shell. Working knowledge to build and maintain model-driven apps. Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to present data from Python in various views, tailored to the needs of different stakeholders. Assist in the integration of Python with other tools and systems, as required. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Python and Power BI performance, functionality, and user access.
