Process Safety Engineer location: Ottawa, IL, USA Hire Type: Contract JD; Minimum of 5 years experience in petrochemical, plastics, or energy industry subjected to PSM/RMP regulations. Knowledgeable of Risk Based Process Safety with experience leading risk assessments, identifying mitigation/corrective actions, and implementing those actions. Experienced with all elements of PSM/RMP regulations. Ability to work in an industrial environment that will include wearing appropriate PPE, climbing stairs and ladders. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple functions (maintenance, operations, EHSS, reliability) and levels (maint and operator technicians, managers, engineers). Engineering Degree preferred but relevant work experience will be considered. Certification in process safety, such as Process Safety (CCPS Process Safety Fundamentals Certificate, Mary K OConner Process Safety Certificate, ABS PHA Facilitator, etc. is preferred but not required.
