Job Description - Position: FireOS Mobile App Developer Remote Responsibilities: Perform software maintenance, bug fixes and development of new features for Mobile FireOS application. Perform prototype and proof of concept software, application, and Alexa skill development for FireOS and Amazon Alexa supported platforms that encompasses but is not limited to accessibility, haptic feedback, voice control commands or voice interfaces, streaming audio playback, Alexa skills, development etc. Perform software maintenance, bug fixes, and development of new features for prototype or proof-of-concept applications created for the platform Required Skills and Qualification Java/Kotlin Programming: Similar to Android app development, proficiency in Java or Kotlin is essential for programming applications for Amazon Fire devices. Amazon Device SDK: Understanding and familiarity with the Amazon Device SDK, including APIs and services provided specifically for Fire tablets, Fire TV, or other Amazon devices. Amazon Appstore Submission Guidelines: Knowledge of the requirements and guidelines for submitting apps to the Amazon Appstore. This includes understanding the differences and specific guidelines compared to Google Play Store submission. UI/UX Design for Amazon Devices: Adherence to Amazon's design guidelines specific to Fire OS devices, considering different screen sizes and resolutions for tablets, TVs, or other devices. Amazon Web Services (AWS) Integration: Familiarity with integrating Amazon Web Services, such as AWS Mobile SDKs, for cloud-based functionalities within Fire OS apps. Testing on Amazon Devices: Proficiency in testing apps on various Amazon Fire devices to ensure compatibility, performance, and functionality.
