Role: Systems Architect Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 6+ Month Mode of interview: In-person Interview Visa: USC/GC/GC Ead/H4 Ead Only MUST HAVES: The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or similar certification ESXI and Acropolis Certification in Systems Administration (Linux, Windows, Citrix, VMware, etc.) 8+ Years of Systems experience preferably working from administrator to engineer to architect. Experience translating and converting technical documentation into easy-to-understand terms. Experience translating information and liaising with both engineers and project teams. Experience with legacy technologies as it relates to servers and architectures. Thorough understanding of data sharing / transferring protocols (CIFS share / NFS share / iSCSI / fiber channel (FC) networking / how does storage area network and client-server communicate) Thorough understanding of networking, server / client-server communications, storage area networks, and how a system works from the end user back to the data center. QUESTIONS THAT NEED TO BE ANSWERED BY CANDIDATE: Submission summaries need to address the Must Haves and Nice To Have JOB DESCRIPTION: This Systems Architect will be responsible for three key areas: 1. Establishment of Systems Architectural Standards relating to efficiency, security, and risk management as well as the documentation of systems within this architecture. These standards are to ensure that current and new systems meet or exceed requirements, reduce duplicity in tools and solutions offered, and to ensure RCHHC is getting the most value out of currently deployed systems 2. Lifecycle management of all systems and infrastructure under the Systems Architect's domain, and 3. Training of junior engineers on systems and architectures as well as be an escalation point for troubleshooting problems within the Systems Architects domain. Initial Objective: Address technical debt and create solution design documents & work with the project management team to implement. Transition to a proactive approach for system modernization and operationalization. Implement training and education on systems, concluding with Life Cycle Management.
