| Job Role : DB2 Z/OS DBA Location : Remote Experience : 10+ Years Job Description: Rotation 24*7 on call support required . DB2 z/OS using DB2 Version 11 , 12 in a sysplex data sharing environment . Expert knowledge of DB2 version 1 1/12 on Z/OS Platform . Ability to work within a team environment and communicate electively with others . Represent the database learn In application development project with butanes, analysts Promote DB2 best practices and new features to developers during application design and implementation . Ability to mentor others including Junior DBAs and application developers. as well as clearly explain complex technical issue to business analyst and end user . Proficiency with logical and physical data modelling design concept . Sold performance tuning experience in assisting developer with SQL Query and indexing , stored procedures , triggers and resolving concurrency issues . Experience with table partioning and maintaining very large databases Creation and maintenance of objects (tables columns. indexes etc) Implement best practices for database backup and recovery strategies . Experience in setting and scheduling of database maintenance with utilities , with different restrictive levels tailored to Application usages with organization Demonstrated knowledge of third party tools Omegamon ,IBM DB2 admin ,COB, CA. etc) Ability to make decisions and demonstrate problem solving skills , analysis. Prioritization and risk taking..
