Role: Cloud/DevOps Engineer Location: Frederick, MD Duration: Long Term Contract Responsibilities: We are looking for a DevOps Engineer help improve the development and Operation standards through implementing new automation tools and guidelines that would help build a stable delivery life cycle and a reliable infrastructure. In this role, engineer should possess good analytical ability and excellent communication skills. Engineer should be a responsible for high quality code delivery by development team and a reliable infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure Setting up tools and required infrastructure. Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project. Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline) Cloud Infrastructure Management: Setting up and configuring cloud environments, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and security groups. Deployment and Automation: Developing automation scripts and templates to deploy and manage cloud resources efficiently using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Security and Compliance: Implementing security best practices, access controls, and encryption to ensure data and applications are protected. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitoring cloud resources' performance and proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal system performance. Cost Optimization: Analyzing cloud usage and cost patterns to optimize spending and recommend cost-saving measures. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Designing and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data resilience and business continuity. Collaboration and Documentation: Working with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and collaborating on architecture design. Maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes. Technical Skills : Good knowledge and understanding on Web technology, and coding language like .net/java. Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles. Working knowledge of various tools such as Jenkins, sonar, terraform, ansible, docker, Kubernetes and cloud providers such as azure, azure DevOPs. Cloud Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of one or more major cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure. Networking Skills: Understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, VPN, VPC, and knowledge of cloud-specific networking services. Security Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and encryption techniques. Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and experience with configuration management tools. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Ability to set up monitoring and logging solutions and troubleshoot issues effectively. Cloud Migration: Experience migrating on-premises infrastructure to the cloud and understanding the challenges involved. Collaboration and Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders. Continuous Learning: Keeping up to date with the rapidly evolving cloud technologies and trends in the industry. Other Skills: Ability and passionate of finding manual tasks and automate.
