What will this person be responsible for on a day-to-day basis Work on new projects that come in. Does the highest-level reporting in all of BI at. This person will work with the Field Operations business leaders to understand what reporting/ data analytic needs they have they will then work with the ETL & Development teams to understand what data needs to be pulled from where so that they can build the right reporting. 2. Is there a specific business unit your team supports Field operations. 3. What % of the job is new project work vs. maintaining whats currently in place Mostly new reporting needs. 4. Can you give me an example or two of projects this person will be involved with/ responsible for Example: Theres a neighborhood in the area that has been having issues with their internet connection. They will go in and look at the data and see why the internet is slow at certain periods of time during the week. That then allows the Field Ops team to see patterns of slow internet connection so that they can troubleshoot/ find and come up with a solution so that they never have internet connections in that neighborhood anymore. MUST HAVE skillsets: Requirement gathering, being able to propose reporting ideas to the business. Translate the data for developers to understand. Must have experience writing SQL code/ queries to test data and test code written by developers. Must have prior experience understanding a business need, and generating reports that will tell the business what it needs to know to help them be better (increase profits, provide better service, etc.) Critical thinking skills strong face-to-face communication Be able to work with/train others on how to use reporting. Experience working with MicroStrategy.
