Job Title: Sr. Sitecore Developer Location: Washington DC (On-site role) Duration: 6-12 Months Job Summary: The Senior Developer will be responsible for all aspects of system configuration and software development as part of the team that is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the .NET Website, Web Content Management System (CMS), and related Microsoft centric applications as well as play a key role in the integration efforts related to the DIA Website, CMS and other DIA applications. In addition, this position will function as the primary SQL Server Database Engineer (DBE), a secondary responsibility. Essential Functions Recommend, plan, and execute IT solutions to meet DIAs business needs. Ensure that the business receives high quality IT services, whether software, reporting, hardware, or networking, through facilitation and proactive problem solving. Develop level-of-effort estimates for all recommendations, and provide technical support to team members, vendors, consultants and/or other resources to meet objectives. Handle multiple project responsibilities simultaneously and prioritize work to resolve technical emergencies as they may occur; manage heavy workloads during project development and implementation. Liaise between global business units and IT; participate in business process modeling; work closely with DIAs business leaders to ensure quality solutions are delivered within required timeframes. Communicate with customers and obtain all required information necessary to determine and address their specific needs. Provide clear, accurate information; explain procedures or materials or provide supplemental information; anticipate problems and questions. Coordinate with other application and technical leaders to ensure the architecture and infrastructure are designed for optimal reusability and integration, while adhering to DIA standards. Inform customers and other team members of testing processes and adequately discuss final products with pertinent parties before systems are fully implemented. Maintain consistent, high quality, customer-focused orientation when conducting business and providing services. Treat customers with respect, courtesy and tact while maintaining a business relationship. Provide guidance and recommendations involving program modifications or upgrades that interface with database software as needed. Identify and implement process improvements and develop associated Standard Operating Procedures documentation. Comply with business process controls and department goals through documentation, monitoring and reporting critical activities. Maintain strong working knowledge of all core applications and in-house enhancements. Make recommendations for application use and enhancements. Act as a catalyst for change to ensure business and IT best practices. Responsible for developing, integrating and maintaining innovative and cost-effective business solutions using IT, business and industry trends. Keep abreast of emerging technologies for potential DIA applications; evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies. Perform necessary administrative functions including status reporting, system/requirements documentation as needed. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and related work experience. Masters degree a plus. Minimum of 6 years professional software systems development experience in a .NET environment using Microsoft Visual Studio. A proven track record of software/systems development excellence. Must have .NET 4.5 or higher and MS SQL Server 2012 or higher experience. Proficient in SQL and stored procedure/function/trigger development. Experience with .NET MVC or .NET Core is desirable. Two years experience integrating Web Content Management Systems (CMS) within a .NET framework; experience with Sitecore integration strongly preferred. Expertise with programming language, preferably C#, VB.NET, Python. Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Experience with SASS is desirable. Web technology experience (Web Security, Networking, IIS Manager, IIS Web Logging. Experience with Angular Web Application Framework or the Progressive JavaScript Framework Vue is desirable. Experience with Association Management Systems (AMS) or strong experience with CRM systems integration is desirable. Experience with financial systems integrations is desirable; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Oracle NetSuite integration preferred. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) experience is desirable. Solid experience with Agile project development methodologies is a must; experience with Scrum and Kanban project development methodologies required. Knowledge of data collection, storage, and maintenance concepts. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot Website, CMS, and related systems. Senior level technologist with broad skills focused on adding value through the delivery of IT solutions; proactive in taking responsibility for tasks ranging from solving a technical issue to consulting with management on potential future projects. Business process knowledge. Demonstrated ability to develop deep knowledge of (and document) complex business processes across different industries and subject matters, and the ability to creatively translate that knowledge into value-added IT solutions. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to all levels of technical and non-technical owners. Ability to collaborate with a variety of personalities and skill sets, and improve the quality of IT processes, services, and products. Ability to manage a diverse workload and work under time constraints. Fluent in English. Proficiency in other languages a bonus.
