Monitor, maintain database systems and troubleshoot problems that may arise. Maintain data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users). Develop strategies and implement solutions for managing back-ups, restoration and replication & create, manage constraints and indexes. Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL, tuning of DML and the creation of stored procedures. Ability to maintain current on tools, methodologies, and technologies related to data administration. Capable and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and apply them as appropriate. Strong understanding of data warehouse and data modelling principles and best practices. Ability to design, build, and troubleshoot ETL routines using SSIS. Ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot complex stored procedures and functions. Skill in logical database design and data modeling (Star Schema and 3NF). Knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives. Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner. Ability to effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing. Capable of working under deadlines and available after hours for deployments/production issues.
