Oracle Data Modeler location: Boston, MA Hire Type: Contract JD; Translate high level business requirements into actionable technical deliverables. Implement data modeling changes on ESP platform, and proactively handle exception cases. Produce impact analysis as needed to safeguard the integrity of the products while integrating newly requested changes. Participate in architectural level reviews to ensure that the efficiency and resiliency of the product is maintained. Key contributor to ongoing code reviews with mentorship to junior developers on the team. Support production releases (both before and post code implementation). Perform root cause analysis of production issues. Clearly communicate results of analytical efforts. Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to build new infrastructure for new data source channels. Optimize the performance of the application by tuning the Oracle data processing physical design. Understand the entire end-to-end workflow and enterprise systems from data sourcing through to data reporting layers. Conduct technical meetings to share ideas and findings. Monitor analytical deliverables and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Work closely with business stakeholders, the Agile team and managerial staff. Coordinate with AMS support teams on production support activities, and provide SOP when needed. Utilize technologies including MQ, Kafka, Java, Oracle, Hadoop as data solutions. Follow and promote SDLC standard practice with risk excellence mindset. Effectively manage competing priorities. Required Skill Set / Minimum Qualifications: College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with application development. Expert in Oracle PL/SQL, Data Modeling/Data Relationship Management. Proficiency in Oracle tuning. Working experience on Unix, Shell scripting. Self-motivated with minimum supervision required self-starter.
