Follows standard project management industry practices such as the PMI framework. Complete Description OVERVIEW Minimum five years or more of IT project / portfolio coordination experience. Capable of managing a portfolio of stakeholders and vendors of complex IT/software/data modernization efforts at the direction of Sr. Project Management staff. POSITION DESCRIPTION Designs, plans, and coordinates IT work teams. Follows standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework. Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with project sponsor. Supports Sr. Project Management teams with project kickoff, progress and close-out reports, and tracks budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics. Supports project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities. Documents meeting and team notes, risks and works with project team to develop mitigation plans. Supports Sr. Project Management scope and change process. Assists in documentation of stakeholder and communications plans as/where appropriate. Manages assigned tasks and assists Sr. Project Management with communications to stakeholders and project sponsors. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and organized individually, capable of engaging multiple roles and personalities effectively. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION IT Project / portfolio coordination capabilities with 5 or more years of experience. Capable of supporting highly complex projects across dozens of staff and geographies to advance INDOT's IT modernization efforts.
