| Client : point 72 Job title : KDB Developer Location : R emote Duration : 6 month Visa : H1B OPT Moi : Sky The Compliance Technology team develops surveillance, monitoring and reporting tools to ensure that the firm adheres to the highest standards for ethical conduct and professionalism. We develop and maintain a variety of products that interface with many different areas of the business including research, execution and risk. What You'll Do: This role is for a KDB+/Q developer with strong analytical skills. You will be joining a small team within Compliance Technology responsible for processing, warehousing and maintaining big data datasets that integrate orders, trades and positions with market data. From these datasets, you will also generate a variety of analytics and reports for use in Trading Research and Trade Surveillance. Compliance Technology is part of the wider Equities Technology group that also includes Research Tools, Portfolio Management Technology and Trading Technology. The primary responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: Design and implementation of software to handle large data sets Data analysis (historical and real time) and reporting Data filtration / cleaning and management Liaise with other technology teams Whats Required: The person in this role must be a developer experienced with the software development lifecycle who can demonstrate a good combination of programming and data analysis skills. In addition, prior experience with the FIX protocol, market data (e.g. TAQ) and/or quantitative trading compliance will be a plus. The candidate should also have good communication/interpersonal skills; be comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team; and be capable of interfacing with internal/external counterparties. Strong KDB+ and Q skills are required Strong analytical skills are required Understanding of SQL is required Scripting experience (Perl, Python and/or Bash) is strongly preferred Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems is strongly preferred Java or .NET experience is a plus Kafka experience is a plus Tableau is a plus Experience with other NOSQL / big data technologies is a plus B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or other STEM field is preferred plus at least 3 years of related work experience Commitment and adherence to the highest ethical standards -- Keywords: rlang information technology |
