CPA certification required and must be able to show proof LinkedIn Profile Position Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in driving both strategic financial planning and maintaining the accuracy of our ITS budgeting and accounting processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial accounting, and budget management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with department heads to create and analyze budgets, forecasts, and variance reports. Provide insightful financial analysis to assist senior management in making informed business decisions. Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts, addressing discrepancies promptly. Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations. 2. Budget Management: Work closely with department heads to develop, monitor, and analyze operating budgets. Implement best practices to enhance the effectiveness of budgetary processes. Optimize the recharge process, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses and revenues across departments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and enhance the efficiency of the recharge process. Key success factors in a candidate Self-starter Deep expertise in budget and accounting practices Proactive with a 'can-do' problem-solving attitude; effective navigation in ambiguity Ability to understand organizational dynamics and adapt Audience-specific communication/artifacts Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting/finance is required. CPA certification. 7+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting and budgeting in a large complex organization, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. Demonstrated expertise in managing budgets, building yearly operating budgets, and conducting financial analysis. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred experience in state or higher education. Familiarity with Hyperion or Oracle EPBCS is a big plus.
