From: Sai Kumar M, Comtech Global Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Direct client- Data Warehouse Senior Data Analyst, Columbus, OH - LOCALS ONLY Hybrid Work Schedule (currently one day a week in office) The Bureau of Workers Compensation (BWC) is actively seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Data Warehouse Senior Data Analyst. This position is integral to providing support for both the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and the Reporting and Business Management Teams. The responsibilities will encompass the management of the Operational Data Store and Data Marts, specifically focusing on Business Reporting within the Snowflake environment, related AWS infrastructure, and on-premises data sources. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in handling intricate SQL queries and possess a strong background in data analysis. A key aspect of the role involves the creation of mapping documents essential for Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) development. The data sources encompass a diverse range, including Relational Databases and Semi-structured data, necessitating a versatile skill set. While experience with Snowflake and DBT is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement. The position would be for the rest of the Fiscal Year (FY) ending June 30th, 2024 with possible continuation into FY25. Skills/Knowledge The ideal candidate for this position should possess a high level of proficiency in handling complex SQL queries, showcasing expertise in analyzing data from diverse sources. A crucial aspect of the role involves creating meticulous mapping documents for deployment in ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) development and facilitating end-user reporting. This proficiency is essential for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the Data Warehouse, ultimately contributing to effective data-driven decision-making processes within the organization. Because facilitation is essential to data analysis, expert communication skills will be required. Minimum 10 years Experience working as a data analyst in business intelligence, analytics and Enterprise Data Warehousing environments Minimum 10 years Experience with design, development and support of normalized data structures Minimum 10 years Experience analyzing, data profiling, data mining, data cleansing, data content, scrubbing data, and translating data via rules from one database to another Minimum 10 years Experience with Data Warehouse tools and techniques Minimum 10 years Experience with theories, principles, and best practices, Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, and Conceptual and Logical Data Design Minimum 10 years Strong Data Analysis skills to include data quality, source systems analysis (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server etc.) business rules validation, source to target mapping design, prepare sample data example and data validation with ELT team Ability to establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with team members. Skill in the use of organizational tools & methods (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Teams) Nice to Have: Experience with MPP Databases (Snowflake, RedShift, etc.) Experience with Cognos/Tableau business intelligence tools Experience with Agile approaches such as Business Event Analysis and Modeling Knowledge of property and casualty insurance systems Knowledge of Ohio business processes Education Required Four-year college degree in Computer Science or similar form of study Schedule: Normal business hours (between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM) Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week Hybrid Work Schedule (currently one day a week in office) Service location: 30 W.
