The candidate must be motivated and self-driven for success. Position Details: Hourly salary based upon the level of experience & skill-set Long term contract with possible extension(s) or hire Standard work hours: Mon-Thurs 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (after hours & weekends as needed) Type / Location: Mobile - New Jersey (phone refresh for 2,000 locations) Up to 3 sites per day MVR Check required Candidates must have a valid Driver's License & a dependable vehicle Travel Expectations: Whole state of New Jersey up the coast Experience and Education: 2+ years of experience in data communications Must have a basic knowledge of Avaya/Cisco Phones, switches, and routers Must have a basic knowledge of local and wide-area networking. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prefer associate degree in technical study Requirements: Must be proficient in utilizing technical tools such as Sniffers, BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers. Requires experience in working in communications closets Must be able to perform rack and stack activities Must be able to safely lift heavy objects Must understand cable patching processes and procedures Must be familiar with 66 Block and 110 Block cross-connect procedures Must have a basic knowledge of data communications networking. Must be able to assist in troubleshooting issues Must understand network terminology Must be familiar with IP phone Must be able to program Cisco phones Must be able to install Avaya phones Must be able to troubleshoot Avaya and Cisco phones Requires good interpersonal communications skills Must be able to explain technical issues in a way the customer will understand an issue Must be able to interpret a customer's issue in a way that will allow the technician to facilitate a resolution Keywords: access management information technology |
