NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. Resources will be working on a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities and Skills: Job ID: MI-125895 Location: Lansing, MI (DTMB) Duration: 12 Months Description: The Technical Systems Analyst will perform a combination of both Business Analyst duties working with technical staff and business stakeholders, along with SQL data analysis using a relational database management system (SQL Server). Work with and serve as liaison between management and business units within the department, external stakeholders, developers, QA analysts, DBA, and scrum master to identify and analyze opportunities for improving processes, data, and business systems. Specific tasks may include but are not limited to: Lead BA efforts, gathering requirements and reviewing for completeness. Oversee developers in development of systems in accordance with defined business requirements. Lead the transition of software features into technical requirements, such as features, epics, and stories. Validate data and troubleshoot within relational databases using SQL queries. Analyze and recommend solutions for Web and mobile applications Analyze business practices and processes to determine best practice strategies to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Assist with strategic planning, including applications integration and application upgrade strategy Assist in the development and implementation of solutions from business requirements. Participate in technology test plan development and execution. Understand and coordinate a product backlog, releases of the system, and all its dependencies. Work with and serve as liaison between management and business units within the department, external stakeholders, developers, QA analysts, and scrum master to identify and analyze opportunities for improving processes and business systems. Conduct research, analyze, and document system requirements and business rules, and create user stories. Identify, communicate, and decompose business requirements into small, estimated, functional, user stories that fit within a single iteration. Prioritize sequence stories to maximize business value delivered while maintaining a sustainable pace for the team. Work with the Product Management Team to ensure vision, goals, and objectives are established and achieved. Make critical decisions regarding functionality and priority for the team with a focus on delivering value. Provide client support during UAT, if requested. Teach, learn, and perform in a high energy, agile environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities. Collaborate with multiple teams in troubleshooting complex technical or non-technical issues. Serves as the communication bridge between non-technical business users and technical solution developers. The Technical Systems Analyst has a depth of knowledge in business analysis and design processes including knowledge of methodology, tools, and techniques. This individual will also have extensive database experience and is an active participant in aspects of department assessment, visioning, and reengineering.
