C2C rate $70.00 an hour SENIOR JAVA AWS SOFTWARE ENGINEER This role is with the engineering team with their cloud modernization journey. The PTF team is in process of rearchitecting their current comprehensive Payment processing services, market first zero-fraud-liability solutions, and Tax business offerings. The team is designing and building brand new microservice platform using latest tech trends in tools, processes, and cloud runtimes. The Senior Software Engineer primary focus is to ensure the technical integrity of the payment platform and to formulate the technical direction for the on-going strategic cloud investments. The Sr. Software Engineer contributes to the estimation, analysis, design, implementation, and operations of multiple microservices owned by the team and works closely with the senior tech and business leadership driving the vision, and technical strategic objectives throughout the SDLC. The Sr. Software Engineer remains current in all eCommerce related technologies in support of enterprise applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities: Analyze, design and implement technical solutions fulfilling business requirements on our core on-prime services and new AWS ones. Keeping in mind solution scalability, availability, security, quality, and maintainability characteristics Actively participate in proof-of-concept implementation of new applications and services Build and maintain, high quality code with approved code standards. Occasionally, assist in production escalations, systems operations, and problem resolutions Assist team members in adopting new cloud service technologies. And mentor the team to remain current with latest tech trends in the global marketplace Assist management in the prioritization of development decisions Qualifications Proven hands-on development experience with server-side Java, Spring/Springboot eco system and other open-source libraries. Hands-on Experience designing and building high traffic services serving 1k transactions per second or similar high transaction volume distributed systems with high-availability and fault-tolerance. Working knowledge with AWS platform. AWS certification is a big plus. Experience with SQL, and NoSQL DBs and distributed caches. Experience in developing event-driven and microservice architecture services utilizing Kafka or Kinesis Extensive experience implementing system integrations utilizing synchronous and asynchronous options Experience with web services security and identity management. Deliver high quality code meeting code hygiene standards Practiced TDD with focus on extensive automated unit/integration testing. Working knowledge with source control systems like Git and other dev tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, Jira, Confluence, GO CI/CD Great team player utilizing agile delivery (ex.
