Role Overview: We are actively seeking a skilled and dynamic Java Lead to join our team for a contract role in collaboration with American Airlines. The ideal candidate will bring 6-10 years of hands-on experience in Java development and a solid background in cloud technologies, specifically with expertise in Azure or GCP. Key Responsibilities: Lead and guide the Java development team in the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java-based applications and systems. Provide technical leadership in implementing best practices, coding standards, and code reviews. Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of applications in alignment with industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability of production environments. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in Java development and cloud computing. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Java Lead with 6-10 years of hands-on development experience. Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and related technologies. Demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms, with a focus on either Azure or GCP. Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Relevant certifications in Java or cloud technologies are desirable.
