Title: Database Developer Location:-Onsite: 77002 Downtown Houston, TX Duration: 6 months (Multi-year engagement- start out 6 months with extensions) We are looking for a highly skilled Database Developer with expertise in PL/SQL and experience working with MemSQL or SingleStore. As a key member of our database development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in PL/SQL development, extensive experience in creating stored procedures, triggers, and functions, and familiarity with integrating Python for data-related tasks. Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using PL/SQL programming language. Implement and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support efficient data processing and manipulation. Work with MySQL or SingleStore to design and implement high-performance and scalable database solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into effective database solutions. Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries, indexing, and other performance-enhancing techniques. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices in database development. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Integrate Python scripts and tools for data analysis, manipulation, and automation. Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of database solutions with applications. Requirements : Proven experience as a Database Developer with a strong focus on PL/SQL development. In-depth knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and indexing. Experience working with MemSQL or SingleStore is highly desirable. Proficient in creating and optimizing stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Familiarity with Python for data-related tasks and integration with databases. Knowledge of database security and compliance best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred Skills: Experience with other database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices. Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git. Understanding of agile development methodologies.
